Al Hara Café privacy policy

Al Hara Café is a games app for iPhone and Android phones: tawle, dama, card games, pool, hangman, word games, draw-and-guess, Mouneh and Snake, against the computer or with friends. This page explains what the app stores about you, why, and how to delete it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we store

• A guest account. When you first open the app it creates an account for you in the background, identified by a random number. We do not ask for your email or phone number.
• Your player name and picture. The name you type and which of the app's avatars you picked. Other players see these at the tables and in friend lists.
• Sign in with Apple or Google (optional). If you save your account with Apple, Apple gives us an identifier for your Apple ID, and an email address only if you choose to share it (it can be Apple's private relay address). If you save it with Google, Google gives us an identifier for your Google account and its email address. We use them only to let you sign back in.
• Friends. Friend requests you send or accept, between player accounts.
• Coins and gifts. Your coin balance and its history: coins you earned by playing or as a daily gift, coins you bought, and gifts you sent or received at a table. Coins have no cash value and cannot be cashed out.
• Purchases. When you buy coins or the monthly pass, Apple (on iPhone) or Google Play (on Android, when buying opens there) handles the payment. We receive the store's receipt for that purchase (what was bought and when) so we can add the coins to your account. We never see your card or payment details.
• Reports and blocks. If you report a player, we keep the report (who reported whom, the reason and the time) so we can review it. If you block a player, we keep that so that the blocked player is not seated with you at public tables (the ones that seat people who do not know each other) and cannot send you friend requests or messages; their phrases and gifts are hidden from you at a table. You can unblock them from your friends page. Chat at public tables is limited to the app's ready-made phrases; there is no free typing.
• Online games. When you play at an online table, your moves go to our game server so it can run the game, deal the cards and roll the dice. A table is kept only while it is being played. The server keeps short technical logs (for example a shortened account number and when a table opened or closed) to fix problems.
• Drawings and guesses (بدون كلام). In the draw-and-guess game, what you draw is sent through our game server to the other players at your table, live, as you draw. It is not saved: the server holds the drawing only during that turn and drops it when the next one starts. Guesses are checked by the server and are not stored either. This game is played only with friends at a private table.
• IP addresses, for security. Our game server sees the internet (IP) address your phone connects from. It uses it to stop abuse, for example too many connections from one address, and writes it in the server log with the time of the connection. The log is kept for at most 30 days and is used only for security and fixing problems, never for advertising or to find where you are.
• Error reports. If the app runs into an error or closes unexpectedly, it sends a report: what went wrong, the screen you were on, the app's last few steps, the app version, the phone model, the iOS or Android version, the language setting and your account number. Reports never contain your messages, contacts, photos or location.
• Solo progress. Your progress in the games you play alone (solved names, levels, best scores) is kept with your account, so it comes back on a new phone.
• Notifications (optional). If you allow notifications, your phone's system (Apple or Google) gives the app an address for your phone, which we keep with your account to send you news from the café (a gift, an event, a new game). Turn them off at any time in the phone's Settings.
• What you play. Which games you open and finish and when, and the days you visit the app, so we know which games people like. From version 1.3 also how long each visit and each game lasts, which screens of the app you spend that time on, the hour and weekday of the visit on your phone's clock, whether it is a phone or a computer and the app version, and a few taps such as starting a purchase, sharing an invitation, creating a room or saving your account. We use this to improve the games and to send news at a time that suits you. It is linked to your account inside the app and to nothing outside it, it is never shared with Meta or anyone else, and the detailed records are deleted after 90 days.
• Football (الماتشات), when it is open in your app. The leagues and teams you follow and whether you want goal alerts; your score predictions; your points, weekly ranking, badges and the free café coins they win; and the private leagues you create or join (their name, invite code and members). Other players see your name and points in the rankings, and members of a private league see each other there. Match data comes from a sports data provider through our server; the provider never receives anything about you. Predictions are a free game: there is no betting and no money involved.
• Measuring our own ads (from version 1.3, on phones). We advertise the app on Facebook and Instagram. To know whether those ads work, the app tells Meta three things: that the app was installed or opened, that an account was saved with Apple or Google, and that a coin pack or pass was bought, with its price and currency. Meta's software also sends basic technical details with these events, such as the phone model, the system version and the app version. The app sends Meta no name, email, account number, messages or game content, never asks for permission to track you and does not read your phone's advertising ID, so Meta cannot use these events to follow you across other apps or websites.
• On your phone only. Settings such as sound on or off and the radio's volume are saved on your phone and are not sent to us.

What we do not do

• The app shows no ads, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not sell or rent your data. The only thing shared about advertising is the ad measurement described above, for our own ads.
• The app does not use your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
• No real-money gambling, no cash prizes, no paid entry to win anything.

Who handles the data

• Supabase hosts the accounts, names, friends, coins, football predictions and error reports, in a data centre in Frankfurt, Germany.
• Our own game server runs the online tables and keeps the security log described above.
• Apple provides Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, notifications, the App Store and TestFlight. Apple's own privacy policy applies to those.
• Google provides Sign in with Google, Google Play purchases and Google Play. Google's own privacy policy applies to those.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives the ad-measurement events described above, from version 1.3 on phones. Meta's own privacy policy applies to what it does with them.

When you invite a friend, the app opens your phone's share menu with a short text. You choose where it goes; we do not see it.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data is kept while you have an account. To delete everything, open your profile in the app and choose حذف الحساب (Delete account). That removes your account, name, picture, friends, coins, predictions and error reports at once, and if you saved the account with Apple it also tells Apple to end Sign in with Apple for the app. Security log lines are deleted when the log passes 30 days. Deleting the app from your phone without deleting the account leaves the account unused on our side; contact us and we will delete it.

Delete your account without the app: email hello@quiska.com with the subject "Delete my account" and your player name (and, if you saved the account, the Apple or Google email). We delete the account, name, picture, friends, coins, purchase history and error reports within 30 days and reply when it is done. Nothing is kept afterwards, except where a store's own records of a purchase must be kept by Apple or Google.

Children

The app is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
